Is acupuncture painful?

Don’t let the idea of needles put you off — most patients barely feel a thing as the hair-thin needles go in. Once the needles are in most patients experience a feeling of relaxation and well-being that lasts for many hours after the treatment

Is Chinese medicine reliable?

Chinese herbal medicine uses over 4000 species of plants in combinations or on their own to help various conditions. What makes it unique is its philosophy:  each herb has a particular nature eg cold, hot, warm, cool as well as a taste: bitter, sweet, spice, salty, bland or astringent. Over 3000 years of clinical observation has resulted in refinement and research resulting in its effective use for many diseases.  Because herbal medicines are used in their full form they are often more stable than synthetic or extracted drugs that the human body is not adequately equipped to process. In many cases Chinese herbs very seldom have any side effects .
